1. About Our Merchandise
SRQ Antiques specializes in authentic antiques, fine arts, decorative arts, garden antiques, and related items, with an emphasis on 18th and 19th Century pieces. Because antiques are older, previously owned objects, normal signs of age, use, wear, restoration, repairs, alterations, and imperfections should be expected.
We make every reasonable effort to accurately describe and photograph each item. Descriptions are based on our knowledge and experience and are intended to provide helpful information about an item’s age, condition, materials, history, and characteristics. Photographs are considered part of the description. Minor variations in color, finish, or appearance may occur due to photography, lighting, and individual computer or device settings.
2. Product Descriptions and Condition
Antiques are unique and often have a history of use and restoration. Unless specifically stated otherwise, items should not be assumed to be in new or perfect condition.
Any known condition issues, repairs, restorations, alterations, or significant imperfections will be disclosed to the best of our ability. Customers are encouraged to review all photographs and descriptions carefully and to contact us with questions before completing a purchase.
Because of the age and nature of antique merchandise, SRQ Antiques cannot guarantee that every aspect of an item’s history, provenance, age, attribution, or original construction can be established with absolute certainty.
3. Pricing and Availability
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. Prices and availability are subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right to correct pricing, typographical, photographic, or descriptive errors and to cancel an order resulting from such an error. An item is not considered sold until payment has been received and the transaction has been confirmed by SRQ Antiques.
4. Orders and Payment
By placing an order, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order for any reason, including suspected fraud, inaccurate pricing or product information, inventory errors, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Payment must be received before an item is shipped unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
5. Shipping and Delivery
Shipping charges and available delivery options will be provided at checkout or communicated to the customer prior to purchase.
Large, fragile, valuable, or unusually shaped antiques may require specialized packing, freight, or white-glove delivery. Additional charges may apply.
Once an item has been transferred to the shipping carrier, delivery times are outside our direct control. Customers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address and for being available to receive deliveries when required.
For particularly valuable or fragile items, customers may contact SRQ Antiques before purchase to discuss available shipping and delivery arrangements.
6. Damage During Shipping
SRQ Antiques takes reasonable care to properly package merchandise for shipment. If an item arrives damaged, please retain the original packaging and photographs of the package, packing materials, and damaged item.
Customers should contact SRQ Antiques as soon as possible after delivery so that we can assist with the appropriate claims process. Claims may be subject to the requirements and time limits of the shipping carrier or insurance provider.
7. Returns and Refunds
Unless otherwise stated on the individual product listing or agreed upon in writing, all antique sales are considered final.
Because antique merchandise is unique and often subject to age-related wear, condition issues, restoration, and other characteristics inherent to older objects, customers are encouraged to ask questions and request additional photographs or information before purchasing.
If SRQ Antiques agrees to accept a return in an exceptional circumstance, the item must be returned in the same condition in which it was sold. Return shipping costs may be the responsibility of the customer, and refunds will be processed after the returned item has been received and inspected.
Custom orders, special purchases, or items specifically acquired at a customer’s request may be non-returnable.
8. Authenticity and Attribution
SRQ Antiques makes reasonable efforts to accurately represent the age, origin, attribution, materials, and other characteristics of merchandise based upon available information, examination, experience, and industry knowledge.
Unless expressly stated as a guaranteed fact, descriptions concerning dates, makers, schools, styles, attribution, provenance, or origin represent our best professional opinion based upon the information available to us.
