A handsome Queen Anne transitional tiger maple four-drawer chest featuring strongly figured drawer fronts and a warm, mellow surface. The graduated drawers are fitted with period and possibly original brass batwing escutcheons and matching bail pull brasses, with a molded top and base.

Raised on short cabriole legs terminating in pad feet, the chest has a pleasing compact form and displays surface wear, minor marks, and variations consistent with age and use. Likely New Hampshire.
