A 19th century English papier-mâché serving tray with a black lacquered ground, decorated around the border with delicate gilt floral sprays, blossoms, and trailing foliage. The rectangular form features rounded corners and a gently raised molded edge.

The surface displays light scratches, rubbing, and minor wear consistent with age and use, while retaining much of its attractive gilt decoration.
